Advantages of gate valve structural features:
1. Small fluid resistance. The medium channel inside the gate valve body is straight through. As mentioned above, the gate valve can only be fully opened or fully closed. When the gate valve is fully open, the flow resistance of the medium passing through the gate valve body channel is close to 0, and the flow resistance very small.
2. The switch operation is labor-saving. Because when the gate plate of the gate valve is opened and closed, the movement direction is up and down, which is perpendicular to the movement direction of the medium in the valve body channel. Compared with the globe valve, the opening and closing operation of the gate valve is more labor-saving.
3. Two-way circulation. The gate valve is a two-way valve, which means that the flow direction of the medium in the valve body channel is not restricted, and the medium can flow through both sides of the gate valve at will without affecting the normal opening and closing of the gate valve. Therefore, gate valves are suitable for installation in pipelines where the flow direction of the medium may change.
